A CENTURY OF DIVERSITY
- One hundred years of The Norwegian Graphic Artists Union
Opening by artist Karen Helga Maurstig. With refreshments..
In observance of this one-hundred year anniversary, we commemorate and honor the celebrant with a deep dive into our collections.
At the beginning of the century, we see a woodcut by Nikolai Astrup as the exhibit ascends towards the period in which the breadth of the collection is greatest. From a larger influx of graphic works of the last half of the twentieth century and towards the present day, we explore the diversity of method, expression, and graphic art as mass-media.
